There was a band late 80's/early 90's that I received a free cd from McD's... Smash my guitar??? Spaceman???

It was a man or woman or some combo like that like that. Seems I can remember lyrics about him either smashing or playing his guitar. Different song, talking about a spaceman, spaceguns or something like that. Just can't get it to come back. Thanks for any and all help!
