Can big cats be domesticated or at least tame?
Big cats can be tamed, but they are still big powerful and deadly. And they still have their instincts, including the instincts to hunt and to kill. Sometimes, all it takes is some trigger, such as a person running, to trigger those instincts. That is why we hear from time to time of normally tame captive tigers, lions, bears, and elephants suddenly engage in deadly attacks, seemingly without provocation. Dogs, despite 10,000 years of captive breeding and domestication, can be deadly as well, as many of their predatory instincts are still present.
