I just got my second hole pierced and need help!!?

Ok well I just got my second holes done on Saturday at Piercing Pagoda with a gun (and i don't want to know how bad that is I already know and I took the risk) But I was just wondering if it's normal for it to still be sore. I don't think it is infected since it's not red or swollen and there is no discharge it looks totally normal and I clean it 2-3 times a day and twist the earring around I just want to know if it's normal for the earring area to still be sore? All answers are appreciated. THANKS!!
