Need a new haircut?

Okay my mom said I have to get a haircut by the start of the next school year because the ends are uneven. My hair grows super slowly and I have waited so long for it to get to this length. What can I do to make my hair look less ratty at the end. And I'm bored of my blond hair. It's just a little past my shoulders. p.s. my hair is super thin also and i don't want a bob. bobs are weird on 13 year olds.
